About Me
Hello! I'm Hasanul Huq Jacky — a filmmaker, editor, and cinematographer with over a decade of experience telling stories that inform, inspire, and impact.
Since 2012, I've worked across independent and commercial productions, bringing life to educational films, documentaries, dramas, and promotional content. My journey began with a deep passion for visual storytelling, and over the years, that passion has led me to work with a wide variety of clients, partners, and creative teams across the globe.My first big breakthrough came with "The Flask" — an educational short documentary that was selected for over 20 international film festivals, including the 9th Aljazeera International Film Festival, Bangkok University Short Film Festival, and Mexico International Short Film Festival. That film opened doors to more creative opportunities, including international collaborations and prestigious awards.
From directing documentary films for the Thailand Ministry of Tourism to receiving the NHK JAPAN Prize 2022 for my documentary “The Story of the Dew”, every project I take on is fueled by a deep respect for storytelling, human connection, and visual craft.
I'm currently working on a movie based on a novel by Selina Hussain, and my latest one-episode drama “Prothom Purush” is now streaming on Bongo.
